I own and drive a 1973 charger. Right now it has a 360 small block with a 727 torqueflight tranny (which has govenor problems - $500 estmated to fix). I found a 1970 440 bored 30 over also with a 727 torqueflight tranny. Other then changing the motor mounts and the radiator. Will I have to swap out the drive shaft + Rear end? Or will I not have to worry about that because the same tranny (727 torqueflight) is going back in.

I have 2 days to buy the 440, fast replies are much appreciated.

Thanks in Advanced!

Check out this page from TCI http://www.tciauto.com/tc/trans-dim/ I don't think 1/8" is going to make a difference. I just put a 440 in place of a 318. Headers, wiring harness and torsion bars are different. There's also little details like throttle kick down bracket, tranny coolant lines. The worst is peeling the 360 sticker off and putting a 440 on. Keep it fun!!

As far as I can tell you have the same set up as my '77 Cordoba with spool type motor mounts. If so the K member is different small to big block. Something with oil pump clearance on the big block. I guess you can modify the small block member to work but I don't know how much I would trust that. Hope I helped you out. Bruce
