I'm beginning my search of the appropriate sites such as B bodies, but maybe someone can save me a ton of time.

I acquired a 1967 440 B-Block this weekend, closed port heads and all. As well as the 727 transmission. I have not cleaned it well enough to get the numbers from it but will after I return from a trip next weekend. I also picked up a couple Holly 750 carbs and an extra set of 906 heads, all for $400

My 71 currently has a Crate 360 stroker and 727. Wondering how tough the conversion will be and if anyone has documented this at all.

Thanks for the help

finally got around to cleaning some of the 40 year gunk off this engine and found the block info

on the boss is the following:

D440
1 4 2

Side of block:
2536430-6

intake:
2806178
12 21 67

Heads:
2843906-8
12127

All that it appears to be a 1968 RB of not particular rarity :) but my engine guy estimates around 70,000 miles based on the condition. Original fuel pump, no work has ever been done to the engine, the heads are in excellent condition and no evidence of over heating or extreme cold etc. Still wearing it's blue paint. I have an extra set of these same heads in good condition as well.

Not sure how I want to build this engine to go into the RR, any suggestions or anything I should know about this build before I begin?
