Saw this 60 Chrysler with a 383 R/B 2 barrel car what's up with that.Talked to the owner and that is how it came from the factory, his mother bought it new.
I think they were made up until '62, saw one this summer, I was thinking no way but, I did some research and low and behold there are 2 odd balls, the 383 has an odd bore size but 3 .75 stroke, the other oddity is the 350 CI. I can get the bore and stroke specs if interested.

The 383 cubic inch RB engine was only available in 1959-1960 on the US built Chrysler Windsor and Saratoga.....according to Allpar.com. I thought they were 59 only.
Seems to be some conflicting info. My source of info is the Direct Connection performance manual, copy right 1982 Bulletin #2, June 1982.
They list other earlier (1958-1962) "B" engines include the lo block 4.06x3.380, 350 cu. in. and raised block 4.03x3.75, 383 cu. in.
Just putting it out there, I tend to believe the info in this book to be "the word" regardless of what I tend to read on the inner-net.
