4.10 gear or 4.30 dodge charger 1972

I Agree with wyrmridwr

You have some other issues to work out before you go changing gears

The car has already installed subframe, pinion snubber adjustable and posi
about the torsion bars are small block
Sway bar not installed
in a few days I will install
Split mono, caltracs and adjustable shock absorbers

Are you going to put adjustable shocks up front as well, that Will help with weight transfer. Play with the tire pressure when you get all your new parts on. How is the track prepped?

you CAN TRY jacking up the left torsion bar (a little at at time) and see if it makes a difference
check out your burn out stripes and get them the same (while still going straight - is #1)

If also on the front they are adjustable
on the track I do not know how they prepare it

Once all the new parts are installed I will try what you tell me, I hope with the changes to obtain better results

What was sprayed on your tires before you got staged? I imagine it was VHT or something similar? I’m no expert but I think if you’re going to use that stuff you need to get a nice burnout in it or else your tires are going to go up in smoke every time.

WE always set the car up with an open diff till we got equal traction on both sides
with an open diff the left does little work and the right tire spins ( more power to the right) till you get it adjusted then we put i the posi
that way you are getting max pull from both sides
you can also then play with tire pressure together and from side to side
you can do the same thing with the posi already installed
just not too much at once- you do not want to go sideways when it shifts with the front wheels airborne, but wait- that was with the hydrostick :)

If it was sprayed vht
I will try to burn a little more the tire for a better traction

Yes Sprayed vht I will try to burn a little more the tire for a better traction

Watching your video again I noticed you did 2 burnouts, one in the water box, and one after VHT was used. Try this next time out, pull through the water box until the rear tires are no longer in the water, have your crew apply the VHT and then do your burnout. Stage and launch I’d bet that will make an improvement.

Would you mind telling me where you got your valve covers from? They are very nice

Thank you very much I'll take that into account to fine tune everything
