Not sure where all the confusion is coming from. You can convert a 62-65 b body 4 dr into a 2dr without shortening, sectioning or any such work.
You use 2 dr doors, the door jamb and rear quarter window frame and inner quarter from a 2 dr and as much of the outer front quarter panel as is available depending on rust. (around here the only donors were cars too rusty to save so the outer quarters are typically very rough) In my case I used the skin off the 4 dr rear doors to make up what was lacking from the rusty parts car.
There are a number of videos on line from guys doing this conversion. I know at least two other guys in the local area who've also done it. This 64 too was originally a 4 dr.
