4-speed clutch recommendations please?

Great info Matt, thanks. It'll be a while before I get the cash together for mine, I'll be very interested to know how yours works out.
I don't know why so few supply my fitment tbh, maybe it's just they're uncommon so manufacturing costs bump up the price?

It's funny, I was told the Centerforce DFX was the strongest single disc clutch centerforce offers at this time for street use. Really, you wan't a clutch that isn't too harsh with a 4-speed unless you just 'want' to be replacing parts right and left. Better to have a little give! Hope you find what you're looking for D.B.

Hey Sweet, that is the top of the line Centerforce. I was looking between the Centerforce and the Ram, guy on Moparts has gone low 11s at 3900 lbs on the DFX and its a street/strip car, but from reading general reviews online it seems like the Ram can take a little bit more power so I went that way.

I'm running the DFX currently and it has been a great street clutch so far, that honestly, is far easier to mash than most would expect. I didn't go with the Ram clutch as I have heard they were real, real heavy to mash. I did buy their billet steel flywheel though. I don't think we could have really went wrong with any clutch choice though GTX MATT. I'm hoping for similar times or quicker, as my B-body has been on a serious diet.

Yeah I kind of went with the Ram also because I like the heavier pedal/borg and beck feel, although the light pedal makes it easier to drive the car fast.

By the way I was checking out your resto thread I like it!

Thanks GTX,
Many parts have been changed out and it is undergoing another construction session shortly. Getting it sanded back down, touching up on some minor areas, and spraying it with a nice base-coat-clear-coat in sliver. Ordering Procar Rally seats and a few other little goodies for it too for Daytona Turkey Rod Run in November. It's really turning out to be a very nice car, something we can be proud of as we done all the work ourselves as you can see other than the headliner. Just needs a few finishing touches now, but the big budget parts are all done.

Hey, I know this thread is old but heres something I found out first hand on centerforce clutches, they mash like butter but theres a lot of pressure on the release, they have a real short throw and they want to come up fast, you cant pussy foot around with them, my foot slipped off half way up and the clutch pedal slammed the bump start hard

? I don't understand your post. What you basically did was 'dump' the clutch. Any clutch, even a stock one, will react the exact same way.

what I'm saying is the pedal has more force on the way up than on the way down, way more than the ram brand
Not saying its not a good clutch, it's a great clutch for racing, short travel and it grabs fast and holds tight, just saying for a 95% street car if gets old in heavy traffic
