4-Speed Console Carpet

Hello,

I was curious if the carpet that is attached to a 1967 B-body 4-speed console is supposed to be bound at the edges, or left raw?

I think raw was on mine...what most people do is take the bottom edge and fold it under itself and sew it together so no fraying is at the bottom
