since i have the interior ripped out and have a mig welder in the garage , ive always wanted a 4 speed so now im seriously kicking around the idea of turning the rr into a 4 speed car .

so what year parts interchange with the 73 B body ? and what parts will i need for the complete conversion ?

also from what i rember reading , my 73 440 HP is set up for an automataic so there was something about the crank and the shaft on the 4 speed needing 3/4" to be cut off because the crank in the 440 is longer for the auto . :shruggy:

Are you going to use the stock clutch fork assembly, or will you be using a hydraulic throwout bearing and clutch master cylinder?

I just did this conversion on my 73 bird. (Along with the 440 swap). Stick with the 10.5 inch clutch. Everything else will revolve around that. ie, bellhousing, starter, headers....
You will also need to know if your motor is internally balanced and if it has the pilot bushing hole drilled in the crank register. I thought I had researched this out as best I could, found out where I could have done better, but that's part of the fun.
You need any ideas, let me know.
