im currently putting an 833 4 speed into my 74 satellite, the trans is pre '70 so i need to possibly modify the mount a little,or do i? i can make up the space simply by turning the mount around, but i think its too high. the left side cover wants to hit the floor as i raise the trans. i do not have the correct floor hump so i do not know if the correct hump will cover the hole i will need to put into the floor to allow clearance. if i had a measurement from top of crossmember to bottom of tailshaft i would know. if anyone has an answer??? want to get something done till i can order a new hump, or if anyone knows the length of a NON-CONSOLE hump

You will need a later tailshaft housing with a rear shifter mount. These are used on '71 +up B-bodies and all E-body cars. What are you using for a trans mount?

There are two different type of humps for the car.
One for a bucket seat car w/ console and one for a bench seat car.
I ordered the 4 spd console hump which brings back the shifter on my 73 RR. I installed a tremec so I had some fab work to do as well.
But I have now installed the new console and it looks great.
Was worth the work.

Actually its a 73 satellite. Typo. This is a non console application, so it utilizes the front mount on the tailshaft. the floor humps I see in pictures look pretty long. But I just hope they're long enough. For the mount, I actually just turned the mount around and it took up the difference.
