coupla thoughts,
do you have any other parts or is it just the bare trans,no bellhousing,no linkage, etc etc?
do you know what it came out of,a,b,e body?
can you post better and more pics?
thanks.
its b or e or pickup . with two shifter mounting locations . there should be some numbers on a machined pad on the passenger side for the main case . unlees the tail stock is not original to the main body .
I'm looking for my original 4-speed trans. As Pomonamissel explained, if you look on the passenger side you will find stamped numbers on a machined pad (not to be confused with raised cast-in numbers). One shows the date/type of trans and there should be another eight-digit stamping that would show the 1-digit year, 1-digit plant, and six-digit VIN. Example: 1969 Road Runner made in the St. Louis plant would be " 9G###### ". If you could post pics of the stampings (and casting numbers) you might sell it much faster as folks are looking for date-coded parts to match or be in the vicinity of their car's manufactured date. I'm interested if the trans matches my car's VIN exactly. Thanks!
I checked this morning and it isn't the one you are looking for, as soon as I get the money today I will mark it sold
A Big thanks to everyone that looked
