PAD Looks like MP or MR 413

Block Casting # 1851 629 6

Weren’t the Maxies In the 1851 Casting
Number Range ?

I’m guessing this is a 1959 casting ?

Maybe a Chrysler 300 Spec?

What Say You Oh Great Kreskin Of The
Land Of Mopar ?

Trying to get a more specific description.

Appreciate & thanks to All !

Hi John, If memory serves me right the M is 1959, the P is premium fuel (HP), if it's an R it would be regular fuel. The 1962 M/W block was 1852029. I'm not an expert but I think that's correct.
Regards, Grant

That is a tough one. I can't find that being a casting number on any block. What is the date of the casting?

Good Question!

I need to check this beauty out more ….

I see references on 440Source on block
Serial number & sequences of years of manufacturing.
The refrence of “1851 “ is assigned to the
Max Wedge & Truck late 50’s & early sixties .
But does not expound on Maxie numbers Which were very low & now about 65 years
Past ….
Needs further inquiry!

Where’s Sherlock Whrn Ya Need Him !

Mopar2ya Bro !

Thanks !!

John

That is a 1961 casting number. R is the year call out. I have seen Canadian production stampings ( with the bottom row) like your picture.

If it was a MW block it would have cylinder notches for the valves

Didn't Maxie blocks have AAQA on them, denoting higher nickel content in the casting?
