Hi,
I am adjusting my hydraulic camshaft Mopar p/n P4529315AE. The motor is a crate hemi from 2007 that has been rebuilt. It has iron heads and the blue anodized adjustable rockers. The original instructions that came with the motor call for 1 1/2 turns after zero lash.
This Mopar camshaft is the reproduction for 1970/1971 Hemi motor.

Does anyone know if all 426 Hemi hydraulic camshafts need 1 1/2 turns past zero or is the standard 1/2 to 3/4 turn good?

Thanks, Tony

Kinda depends on the thread pitch on the adjusters, and the type of lifters, right?

Did the cam, lifters, rocker arms and directions all come with this engine?

take a wood dowel and hold on rocker shaft while running, when tick stops go 1./2 turn. Your holding the wood dowel close to your ear. I have never seen blue anodized rocker arms on a crate hemi before. Remember your going to have to start and stop the engine prior to every adjustment.
