I'm in the final stages of a 426 Max wedge engine build. It's going in a 64 Max wedge Polara hard top. Problem is the oil pan. I'm not spending that type of cash for a used one so here's my question. I have a very nice oil pan from a 68 BB C body. Will the front part of the sump clear the K frame?

Dont know about the pan, but it is a must that you post some pics, we love the car ****. Also, Welcome!!

you willprobably have to notch the pan on the pass.side front corner.

I've read where some guys have made a small notch in the K frame on the passenger side in order to use a pan like you mentioned.

Here is an original Max Wedge pan,any 62/65 big block B-body pan will work without notching the K frame. You need 5 1/2" from the sump to the front of the pan.
