Hi guys, Im running a 71 c body 440(non HP) with a 6pck in a 70 RR. Ive heard it is recommended to put a fuel/vapour seperator on to prevent vapour lock on all 440's and hemi's. Just bought the car and havent driven it much, but it does seem to work fine as is so far without the vapour seperator. I purchased a fuel seperator and am in the process of installing it. There is no return line(going back to the tank) beside the fuel pump. The return line going back to the tank runs off of the breather on passenger side valve cover. Am I supposed to tee into that somehow?? Also, I ran the car(idling in the shop) and ALOT of fuel is coming out the return line. I read on a few other websites that most of the aftermarket seperators have too large of an opening on the return line and for it to properly work it should be soldered shut and re-drilled to 040 dia. opening. Is this something that only the HP motors required or should I be putting this on my non HP motor? My RR was born a 383 and Im guessing thats why there is no return fuel line by the fuel pump?
