What are you asking? Its a '69 440 block. Sounds like it has potential.

Decide what??

I guess you're saying DECODE??

'69 440, cast on Aug 1st night shift.... Assembled on Aug 29th.... I dont know the VIN, but others will. CH23 New yorker???

The "E 440" is 1969, the 8 29 is assembly date. The stuff in the middle is probably added by somebody. Maybe a rebuild date or something.

So 69 block started with 10:1 compression?
I dont think it was that high for the 335hp 440..... but why anyway? If its stroked or even rebuilt the factory pistons are long gone anyway, so it could be anything. Time for a machinist to measure everything to really know.

1969 440 out of a NewYorker four door hdtp, built in Newark Delaware. Not the factory high compression version.
From the vin on the pan rail:
C-Chrysler
H- high line, therefore new Yorker
43- four door hdtp
K-low-po 440 4bbl
9- 1969 model automobile
F- Newark Delaware assy plant
Means nothing about what is inside it now......
