Almost looks like the very light and very much not aligned 4 4 0 at the top is original...

...and the 1 9 7 6 440 is some kind of re-stamp.

Block:

2536430 Chrysler - Dodge - Plymouth RB 66-72 440

Heads:

2843906 2843904 68-70 383/440 Open 2.08 1.74

The casting date of 1 - 16(18?) - 71 backs that up (I thought it said 77)...I don't know if the '1976' or the '79' stamped on the pad mean actual dates.

I want to say that it was a '66-'72 block that was installed in 1976 as a service replacement block.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge than I can shed some light on it.

Could the heads be date code correct for the motor since the motor is January of 71, anyone that could shed more light on this subject, would be helpful
