what is a good factory cast number of some 440 heads to look for and build for my 440 eng.to factory specs>

440 blocks which are the good years to look for

i want to build a 440 magum to factory specs, what years are good to look for i know 66 to 69 are hard to find.so how about 70 to 74? cast crank or steel crank?

My first choice are the 2780915 1967 440 HP heads. The 2843906 were used from 1968-1970 and are also good. The later heads have a flat intake port floor and generally don't perform as well as the ones mentioned above, despite what the CFM numbers say. The early heads will require hard seats installed and most likely need guides. It's easy to sink $800.00+ into a set of iron heads.

Too bad you are in Ga Johnny I could sell you my 906 heads with bronze valve guides already installed. I think all then need are seats, but shipping would cost a bit as I am in Cali.
