I have a 440 in my 69 RR. Block pad reads 7 T 44 E. It has a steel crank, what year would this be? Does that mean T=Truck? And E means the year?

It's a 1977 block, 7T4. E would have to precede 440 to signify year.

Here, it indicates cast crank.

7 is the year.
T means it was assembled at the Trenton engine plant.

7 T 44 E

7 = 1977
T = Assembly Plant (Trenton)
44 = 440
E = Cast Crank

Would this be correct?

Sounds accurate. The dampener is a 1", so I'm sure the crank is steel. Motor has obviously been re done at some point. Adj rockers, solid lifters, Hooker Competition Headers, MSD ignition. Even has frame connectors welded in! Could even be a stroker motor for all I know. Compression is 175 to 180 on all cyls.

Guess I'm going to have to pull a cyl head to find out more. Might put some Eddys on there. I have some Performer RPM s ready to go.
