iam atempting to put this later model 440 in my 63 dodge 440, but the oil pan is hiting the lip on the k frame, not letting the engine sit all the way down on the mounts, if i get the pass mount drawed up the driver lacks 1/2 of going through the k frame enging mount ... looks to me i need a different pan?

Early B-body guys will respond with a lot more knowledge than i have,

but i want see and learn what you are doin'...could you take pics?

is it a mid (more centered) sump? Ma MoPar did make a rear sump pan.

i'm just not sure exactly what #that one it is...but maybe that's what you need?

thanks for humoring me... :eusa_angel: Mar

'66 and later oil pans don't fit the early b-bodies very well. the engine in a early b sits about 1 1/2" further forward. the k-frame can be notched to fit a later pan. factory early b-body b-engine pans aren't easy to find.

This is an origional Max Wedge pan,if you notice the distance from the front of the pan to the beginning of the sump, approxomatly 5", this is the same as all 62/65 big block pans and the clearance needed to clear the K frame.
