Can anyone suggest a manifold gasket for a 440 six pack with the factory intake manifold? I would rather not block off the heat riser crossover, I would prefer a faster warm up for driveability on the street.
And the fact that you're in Florida, you don't really need the heat passage for warm up.running full heat on a 6pak, or any other intake, with alcohol gas is a problem. generally i'll use the fel-pro gasket with blocked heat and drill a pair of 1/2" holes where the gasket blocks the heat. this does seem to regulate the heat some. don't use the papers unless the manifold has been milled to compensate for the extra thickness.
CORRECT!don't use the papers unless the manifold has been milled to compensate for the extra thickness
Same for South Louisiana. I've always used the metal one piece valley pan+intake gasket heat passages fully blocked w some silicone around the head ports and on the ends and corners. And the fact that you're in Florida, you don't really need the heat passage for warm up.
