440 Source rotating assembly

I have a 440 source 500 ci rotating assembly with dished pistons. Can I run another brand piston on these 440 source rods or do I am I limited to 440 source? Thank you

You can run another brand of piston if the geometry (e.g. pin size, bore size,...) matches. You may need to have the assembly re-balanced. Certainly you could get a custom piston made.

What exactly do u have? Post some pics and part numbers. Did u calculate the compression?

You can use different pistons. You need to make sure the piston pin size is correct for the rods you have.
If the new pistons are a different weight it will throw off the balance, so the assembly might need to be rebalanced.
