440 valve lash

i have a 67 440 fresh build did the brakein it has adjustable rockers hydralic lifters thay need adjustment what is the lash setting

There is a spec for that based on a dry lifter but if you do one turn in on a 3/8"-24 thread from zero lash that will work fine.

Most hydraulic lifters like between .020-.060 preload. I have a tendency to run mine on the minimum side so a half turn is what I give em and go for a test spin. A full turn should give you a hair more than .040 which should be good to go like Meep said.

I'm conservative. I like going 1/4 turn down from zero lash. Just personal preference.
