I was going to say that I would bet there is some internal damage done. you have no idea how long that engine was run unbalanced. and the bearings confirm that! good luck with build.

Not to bring this up again. But this engine ever get fixed or resolved.

Well now that you have it apart, you can get the whole bottom end properly balanced. I like the forged crank set up because its all internally balanced. Can change flywheels and torque converters, without putting on the balance weights. As they zero balance separatly. Look for a 71 or earlier 440 with the forged crank. They are also stronger.
