440HP help

I have a 440HP in the barn looking for help to see what it came out of passide- 3 16 67 2536430-6. On the back on the oil pan rail is 440s22430778. Top front pad D 440 18 hp. Thanks i know their is a lot of wistom on this site thanks mike

D = 68...hp would lead to R/T...GTX.....charger....

Look on the back of the block, (where the bell housing would bolt up) just behind the sending unit, there may be a partial vin # there.

Yep, 68 was the only year for the VIN stamp near the oil pressure port.

Ok on the vin by back of the block.I had some good guys on this site decode my fender tag my thanks to them they say it was built oct 68 i got this motor with the car but did not think it could be for the car because the vin was not on the lower engin rail by the oil pan. So will the owner to this motor for your car stand up.THANKS MIKE
