I'm looking for rebuildable 46RH/A518 transmission. 2wd, of course. Preferably NW area.

3.9 5.2 and 5.9 All used the 46rh but I believe it has to be pre 1996 After that they went to the 46RE.

I called Pick-n-Pull yesterday, and they said no trucks or vans in any local yard and only one V6 Dakota in the Vantucky yard!
And yet I got in their online inventory list and found a 1990 B350 van with a roller cam 360 TBI and a 4 speed auto.. The engine & trans may or may not be there, only way to know is to put eyes on it....

I think if I wanted those parts I would take a drive....

Calling means you put some lazy POS in the equation.....

I grabbed a few when getting was good.
RE to RH is just a valve body swap away.
What do I know?, there should still be some O.H.B.'s with a field full of crap vans, but pm me.

I just picked up a 90 518, non lockup. Two pins - no lockup. Three pins - with lockup. In my search, I noticed that pre-2000 stuff is getting less common at the area Pick-n-pulls.

GTX, I just went through this whole transmission saga. I am building this transmission right now for a 750 hp 440 engine. The A518 you need is from a 1992-1994. 1995 are RE. You will need to look for a 2 sets of 3 pins. One set is horizontal for the lights and the other is 3" closer to the case and is vertical. Most trans are 2 pins vertical. The third pin is for torque lockup. Look them up with this website. Much easier. If you have a 440 block, you will need to cut out the bell and buy this one. I am having my built by Trans Tech in IA.
