Hard to find.... what do you need to know??

hi thanks for chatting.i have two setts of virgin 518 heads one set is after market and the other set is original these are bare heads
i think the after market heads would better for the street.what do you think i would be running headers with 70s 440 block were would i find an intake that would work with after market heads.then i would sell the other ones these are cast iron heads.just need help making a dicision for which to keep and were to find parts for the after market heads.thanks for your time
 
If I'm hearing this correctly, you have original 64 MW heads, and another set of mopar reproduction? Sell the originals for money. Yes headers work. Indy cylinder heads make an intake that will fit. You would have to resolve a valley pan issue.
Or use a factory or aftermarket crossram manifold.

I'm thinking run the aftermarket heads on the street with heads.will a stage.two intake work with the.aftermarket heads I know the ports are different so do I do any thing to the heads or run it as is.sell the other heads thanks for your time.not doing any racing myself.

The stage 2 intake will work without issues. A&A trans makes/sells an aftermarket crossram too, if you should need one. I havta agree with RemCharger on this.... you could likely get a real good buck for that original set if you chose to go that route. I think racers are hunting the aftermarket sets too actually, since they are now also very tough to find. Best of luck whichever way you go.

Hi thanks for your reply.im having them cleaned up and.chevked I plan on selling the.original 518 bare heads though if they check out wha would be a fair.price I'm not trying to get the.highest bid.just some that would actually use them for a a super sto kernel or something on that order. I dont know prices.... i have a good pair and they werent cheap. The purist in me says that hopefully yours get to a good home, like a true stage3 car.

What are the part #s on the ( aftermarket) heads. Are they max wedge size port?

If you're looking to see what they're worth we should turn it into a wiw forum post
