Down leg or annular?

There is more than one way to enjoy this hobby.
It’s great that people like to share their opinions, but some (Renton) have a way of belittling others.

I think it’s fun to try new stuff. If you have the money go for it.

From what I’ve read annular discharge gives better low end performance, but does cost some flow.

I have a Quick Fuel 850 DP with down leg boosters on my 413 with iron heads, it doesn’t seem like too much carb.
I don't intentionally belittle people, but when claims are made, but unsubstantiated with additional information, how is one to believe the claim without additional info. Like I mentioned b4....just the facts.....to prove your point just state..."in my opinion....".based on ??? rather than some rambling comments...

lol, “intentionally”.
I guess at your knowledge level it’s automatic.

I do like spending money lol, I just feel like I am giving up some top end performance with the smaller carb. I don’t have any “buddies”telling me anything.
I see in another thread you're running manifolds... that minor fact changes everything lol.

Yes I am, also have icon pistons and molnar rods with .990 pins, Harland sharp rockers and smith brothers pushrods. The converter flashes to 4000k, and has a reverse manual valve body too it runs very strong, haven’t had a chance to take it down the the track yet to see what kind of mph it was

OOOPPS......I guess I should learn to type better or spell check b4 sending.....see....learned something new today....how to spell correctly and which proves hat I don't know to do everything .....thank you for pointing this out.....

I also did a little bit of cleanup/ portmatch work on the manifolds they actually was closer then then the rpm manifold I spent serval days on getting it to fit and line up

Look how far off this was, this gasket lined up really good with the Cnc ported heads plus had to chamfer edges along the China wall to get it to sit down right.

Nice going.
I am also about to do this on my Indy intake...though what would be a smart way to check that the intake gets centered over the holes in the cylinder head?
I guess marking the valley pan is one way.

I switch off between Edelbrock 1405 (straight booster) and 1905 (**** booster).

The 1905 is smoother right at tip-in, and other than that, not a dramatic difference between them. I like both. Have used the 1405 since forever, and got the 1905 out of curiosity.

These vanity projects he has do nothing to further understanding or generate better discussions. It’s a bunch of word soup and if you really bother to pay attention, not much of any value is said in the messes.
