Finally getting down to where the end is in sight. Looking for a little info on the start run issue. I'm sure I am not the 1st one with this problem but I fired it today for the first time. It started right away but will not stay running. Kinda like when the ballast resistor is bad in our vintage cars. Only runs in the start mode and dies when I release the key to run mode. Guess I missed something. As far as I know, everything is hooked up except the air temp sensor and fan relays as far as the engine is concerned. Anyone run into this before?
Here are a couple pics of where I am with the project. Got a ways to go yet but...............

man that looks awesome hope you find the problem soon good luck

Hook ign.1 and ign.2 together, that will give you 12 volts at run and start.

Wow! Car looks great! Good luck with the troubleshooting!

If you are using the factory switch, yes.

Yes I have the original 68 switch. Weeks ago I had a conversation with Randy at Bouchillon Performance and he told me I needed to add a relay between the start and run wires to prevent loss of voltage on the run circuit because of the way the 60's ignition switches are configured. The other option was to add a push button for the starter which I really would like to avoid. I added the relay but maybe I have other issues. I plan on calling Chris @ Hotwire today to see what he has to say about it since he created the engine management system. I wouldn't think the problem could be in the fact that I do not yet have the fan circuit and the cold air temp circuit tied in but maybe Chris can shed some light on it.

Those have nothing to do with it. The computer is getting 12 volts at crank, so the engine starts, but when you let off the key, it loses the 12 volts and shuts down. Just make a jumper wire from ign. 1 to ign.2 and your good.

Thanks 5.7., Jumper in. Fires right up. Idles nice. Seems like things are looking up some but still have issues. Voltage is running at 15.3 at idle and goes to 16V when revved. New tach set up by Redline to work off of Hemi coil pack pulse is way off. With my luck with this thing, I'm surprised I don't have oil leaks and fuel leaks all over the place. I have grounds on both sides of the engine, two under the dash, one on the floor at the console and one in the trunk. One would think it is not a ground issue but that is the first thing I would think is causing the voltage problem.

Glad to help!

The computer controls the voltage, but it wouldn't hurt to have the alt. load tested and go from there.

You may need the msd tach adapter, but don't quote me.
