Whos running 15x6" rims all around? What backspacing are you running and what size tires? I can't seem to get a good answer on rim sizes...I don't want 8" rims and I can't find a good 15x7 with a 4.25 backspace. I don't want to have to worry about rubbing in the rear. I'd like a taller tire aswell. I'm thinking 225 70 15 fronts and 235 70 15 on rears with a 6" rims. What you guys think?

Heres my new ride, 66 belvedere 318 auto

Nice Belvedere! I would think a 4" backspace would work also but measuring is your friend. What size tires are on there now?

I have 215 60 14s on the car now...now sure the backspace but im going to take them off today and find out. Apparently American racing doesn't make a 15x7 in a 4.25bs in the torque thrust D, but they do make a 15x6 with a 3.66 backspace, im hoping that the 15x6s will work on the car with the 225 70 15 fronts and 235 70 15 rears

You have a 24.1" tall tire now.How much room do you have to grow up? 225/70 is 27.4 and 235/70 is 27.8, that is a lot of room to grow. Mind your width on the rear also. If it doesn't have a enough room maybe a 215/65/15(26") on the front and a 225/70/15(27.4) on the rear will work.

Hopefully some more guys with your body style will chime in.

I have a ton of space to go up, my concern is the backspacing on the rear wheel. AR torque thrusts have a 15x6 rim with a 3.66 backspacing. Im wondering if anyone has done this with a 235 70 tire and if it fits without rubbing

That 3.66 bs on a 15x6 rim (really 7" wide overall width, you know) should work beautifully on both ends, even on a 66/67 B-body.
A 235 is the max recommended for a 6" rim (6-8").
Most times the rims that fit well on mopars are close to zero offset. Those 15x6 are about 4mm, should fit great, but IF there is a problem (I HIGHLY doubt it) it'll be the tire rubbing the spring, and that can be fixed with a small spacer.

I have 15x6 wheels with 235/70-15 tires all around on my 1967 GTX. The wheels are Wheel Vintiques 54-561204, 15x6 with 4" back spacing. The tires are General Altimax RT. They clear with no rubbing. This car has rolled fender lips though from previous wheels which were 15x7 with 275/60-15 in the rear, but it looks like the current wheels and tires would not rub without the rolling. The front wheel wells have minor rolling as well. Without that, it might be tight on full turns.

245/70/15 on 15x7” rims with 3.75” backspacing. It was the perfect combo, at least I thought so.

Beautiful car!! Why don't you think they are a proper fit now?
I still do, but after over 25 years of ownership, it left the nest for a new owner about 5 years ago. Replaced in trade for my 70 Roadrunner.

No idea on backspacing but just for visual comparisons ... this is what 255/60 R15 rear and 205/65 R15 front look like ... previous owners choice - I will be changing.
