This car is an exact replica of those purchased by the FDNY in 1962. There was one just like it in my father's fire house and I always loved it. You know what they say, "the difference between men and boys is the price of there toys," so here it is. Still finishing the interior and have to get the appropriate period decals applied.

that is very cool! what is the little white and gray box under the center of the dash?

First...that's a really disturbing picture.....

Welcome. I dig 62 Dodges. Several years back I almost bought a 62 Dodge wagon that was an ex air force car. Still was blue with a yellow stripe, and had some governmental "use" stickers on the dash.

dam thats cool. but the dog dishes dont look period correct

I just love wagons. I would go for original steelies though with correct hubcaps. This looks "vintage" allright, but why not do the complete car thorough? You're doing a great job!

Hey Great Wagon. We have a similar 62 running around Western New York. It is marked as a Buffalo Police Car.

The correct wheels are 15X5.5 wheels with clips to hold the hubcaps. The hubcaps are unique to Police/Taxi.

You are right, but I couldn't pass them up with the red stripe.
