So, my upholstery friend who did my seats said he wouldn't cover my dash pad because he could never get the vinyle into the grooves or around the various edges.
Sprayfoaming in the house, this foam sticks to everything not metal, pad made of foam, I have extra vinyle, I have an extra pad to experiment on - challenge accepted.
Used the last of the big gap filler can, and it worked a little too much. Pad had damage and a few holes. The vinyle was more like plastic.
Razor blade to trim the foam.
Sanded.
I had 2 cans of spray adhesive, one stated to keep away from vinyle, so I used the other.
Taping off sections, spraying, stretching vinyle. Used superglue to adhere the vinyle to the back edge.
A few creases, but not bad.
Emblem finishes it off. Not bad for zero $.
