This Belvedere was a Drag car at Scribner Raceway in Nebraska back in the early 80's. Fired her up with a 413, installed over the last few months. Sounds Awesome, it's been a really fun build. Some final tweaks are needed but happy to hear her roar. Still wearing her colors, although a bit faded from years ago. Original decals too !!

Perfect looks the way it sits. Patina is very popular right now.
If it were mine I would leave the war paint !

They are more fun that way.
Most, not all cars that are done perfect with $20K invested in paint only, just sit most of the time.

I like it as It is. I have a 63 dodge just like that old race car with lettering from the 80's when it was raced.

Mine looked almost exactly like that when i got it! Including the white paint and old speed decals.(usually over dents or bondo). Patina wasntpopular then , so it got a cheap coat of paint.

What's the name on the door?

Are they heat shields on the exhaust manifolds? I've never seen that before.

And have we ever seen any pics of this car?

man that is just cool i would drive the wheels off of it
The original driver and owner contacted me today and we are trying to send the car home, it has a long family history, from father to cousin to friend to son.... we'll see where it goes... I want to drive it a little before it goes..

Very very neat really like the old war paint look to it as well.

Well guys, I've taken the 62' about as far as I can. Thinking about passing her on to a new owner. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks, " Cheese"

What happened with the original driver and owner from your Sept. 10 post last year?
