I am in the process of restoring the interior of my 1963 Fury as a winter project and have a few questions.

Main question is how to remove the steering wheel. I have never done this before, it's the style with the interior horn ring. I hear it can be tricky and just want to make sure I do it correctly without any damage, even though the main purpose is to replace the wheel with a smaller diameter wheel.

Any recommendations for repairing torn or loose vinyl on the doors and dash? I plan to fix them and re-finish the surface either by painting or dying. Are there vinyl patch kits that can be applied?

I've got all winter to do this right so any help is greatly appreciated. The carpet and seats have already been replaced with new items.

What level resto do you wish to perform? To make it perfect, torn, cracked or very loose items need to be replaced.I can not scan & post pages out of the service bible to help with the wheel, maybe some can post it uo for ya.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the responses. As for the level of resto, I just want it to look decent, no need for anything flashy or "perfect"...it's not a show car so I just want it to be something I can be proud of and say I did myself. Right now, aside from the seats and carpet, the entire interior is 100% stock.

I'll check out Legendary Interiors for some ideas.

I ended up getting a quote from Legendary (who happen to only be 50 miles from me), they wanted $1000 to do all 4 door panels. While this isn't a horrible price, I just don't have that money right now so I am going to take my chances and try to do them myself.

I have got doorpanels, red, from a 63 Belvedere hardtop. In very nice shape.
Don't know if they fit your needs and won't have to cost $ 1000!

Best regards
Marcel

I am always open to entertain cheaper pricing for a good fit. Any chance you can e-mail some pictures of the panels to me? I'd like to see front and back if you could.

E-mail is [email protected]

Thanks,
Jeff

if theyre from a hardtop and yours is a 4 door they won't fit........If I'm correct..
