A friend of mine bought this '64 Corvette that was customized in 1972...everything you see is from '72, paint, tires, etc. It's a factory Fuel injected 327 too with transistorized ignition...1 of 44 so equipped. He bought it from the original owners widow here in Los Angeles earlier this year. The damage to the front clip was caused by the owner rear ending a Plymouth Superbird in 1977 while cruising Van Nuys Blvd. The car was parked soon after. Another friend of mine recently repaired the front clip like it was prior to the accident. There were a lot of cars customized like this in the 70's, those were some tacky times for sure, I even had a friend that flared all 4 wheel wells on a real '70 Hemi Cuda in the mid 70's...fortunately the car has since been restored to factory condition. 330 voltmeter 043.jpg

I think it's kinda ugly, They had originally done a Ferrari Daytona style with the hideaway lights, (those cars were new then)...and then later changed to this, (yuck!).
Looks like a Datsun 280Z front end.
