64 Dodge only

ABC Moparts lists reproduction dash pad for 1964 Dodge. From what I have read here, it fits better than the one offered by Special T's. I don't mind the questions at all, Mike. I have been around 1964 Polara's since 1980. Since my Polara is a Canadian car, it uses the 1964 Plymouth Fury dash and ribbed dash pad.
Thanks Dave. I appreciate the help. I don't need to restore this car but I like to make positive improvements without breaking the bank. I am making a list of the vendors that offer parts for these old girls. Many of the repop parts are made by the same company but there are big differences in price sometimes. Like headlight bezels, I will look for a nice used one but may pull the trigger on the repops if I cant find one.

I hear you. It is always nice to do improvements to make it YOUR car. I have dealt with Joe Suchy for repro parts. He is a great guy to deal with. I have met him at Carlisle and Indy swap meet. Classic Industries has a nice free Mopar catalog with a lot of detail stuff for early B-bodies. Jim Kramer, too.
I made up some custom door cards for my Polara 4-door hardtop. The factory Canadian pieces were more like U.S. Belvedere cards; very plain. I once had a U.S. 4-door hardtop parts car, with red interior, and very good, fancier door cards. I masked off around the chrome mylar trims, and dyed the rest of the panels black. When unmasked, it left some of the original red colour, bringing a nice colour POP to the interior. I also used the longer front arm rest bases on the rear doors. I cleaned up the trunk area with preformed cardboard side panels available from Classic Industries. Canadian 1964 Dodge came with these, but U.S. cars did not. 1963 U.S. cars came with them, and the trunk area is the same, so they fit well. If you look up under the trunk weather strip side rail, there are likely hangers for them. Note that Canadian Dodge used convertible placement of spare tire for all their cars.
