64 fury super stocker red dash?

My 64 Belvedere is the Same. Ruby or dark on the top, Crimson for the main parts

Crimson on the main parts? Is there a special code for crimson? I know that the door panels come as crimson red. Should some pieces in the interior be painted crimson or would ruby work throughout?

The flat paint was only used on cars without the dash pad. So you either want to do the flat paint OR the dashpad if you you are going for a factory looking combination.

I think a flat clear coat would be close enough in my opinion.

The top where the speaker grille is, is the only portion of the top that will be seen if using a dash pad and it should be glossy.

interesting ... my car is a dash pad car, and the top is matte finish .... maybe diff for '65 ?? ...

That's interesting for sure. Is it all original as far as you can tell?

What this, DOUBLE TROUBLE, we are in for it now for sure.lol!!!

Get him on it.

Harley,
Here are interior paint codes - 1964.. I used this same info to locate paint for my 62. The code for "majestic red" was available from TCP. I however never ordered it cause my brother (HitIt) was kind enough to give me his leftover which looks good to me

Thanks Bbodee,

So the majestic red on the chart you attached shows a color code of 71203.
The ruby red on the chart that HitIt attached shows a color code of 71203 as well.
Are they basically the same color? I am a little confused

I am assuming so.... note there is also a "derby red" which is the suede finish, code #71390. The 1962 chip chart showed "majestic red" as code #4098-H for my car, but my eyes can't tell any difference between my 1962 OEM color from the 1964 "majestic red" I got from my brother. Hope that helps.

My car also has a dash pad and had the matt finish on top and the gloss on the face of it.

Thanks everybody I think I know what i need to do now for my dash paint

one more question though..

anyone know if the glove box door is smooth finish on a super stock car? My stock fury glove box door has very small vertical ribs similar to the gauge cluster. I noticed that most red superstock cars had a smooth looking glove box door painted the same color as the dash. Mine is silver right now, and I was planning on painting it red. I like the look of the smooth better. Where do I find one of these smooth glove box doors or did they not have them in a fury?

Once again thanks for the expert knowledge!

You need this glove box door(see photo), from a Savoy. A Belvedere has 2 holes in lower right corner for the "Belvedere" script. The carpet in the photo would be black in a Hemi car.
