My latest cheap find... If I can get it cheap enough this car will replace the 740il and put a few bucks in my pocket on the swap as well. Its listed for 4k I want to pay 1500, if I cant get it for super cheap there is a 4dr for 2500 that I will try to get for 1000. The 740il is worth 4500-5000 so this would put money into my pocket to save for a Charger or RR.

Thoughts on a nasty 318 Polara build ?

I love these cars and it seems to be easier to find 4 door cars then 2 doors. I have a question how hard is it to change it from 4 doors to 2 doors?

I love to have a 62-64 car and make a max wedge or hemi clone.

Well the idea of the 2 dr hardtop was so I could sell the BMW and have something to drive and net the difference and add to the pile of cash rather than take away from it. the Beamer cut and buffed is worth about 4000-4500. If I could fine a car for 2000 that I want to drive I could make do the swap. The 740il has 234500 miles on it but is still just ab out mint inside and the exterior decent. Paint needs attention but it runs great and is a nice car for 4500. Try finding anything nicer for less. Very dependable. Shame to sell it but if I can add to the cash pile .. the ultimate goal gets closer. If the 4 doors is all original and not a mud bucket and I can get it for 800 then maybe I would do it.

If it is a solid western car then 2800 is a real good price. Might not want to think tooooooo long. Someone else might snag it. I jusy sold my 65 Satellite 383 4-spd for 4500 and it needed a floor pan and a quarter.

Thoughts on a nasty 318 poly Polara build... don't waste your money, unless it's a dream engine combo or something, If you want to stay period correct or something, you could buy a early worn out & running 383ci or even 361ci & 727 trans & probably be way ahead of the game, maybe even a 413ci or 426ci street wedge, even a LA 273-360ci small block, than put a bunch of money in a Poly 318ci, then maybe make 300HP after spending $3000 or more, they need serious head work, there aren't very many performance products readily available for them either... Just a warning... It can be done but why ??, especially if your on a tight budget, there are far easier, better & cheaper ways to make a performance combo... Good luck have fun... I love those years also...
