64 drivetrain swap info

Great 64 2 dr sedan. Look for one for years...couldn't find what I wanted. Settled for a relatively solid 64 Belvedere wagon. Still has the 318 poly V-8.

I am looking to replace the poly with a 383 or 440, which is a pretty common swap. Don't need help on that....however what year trans and differential are you running, and what rear ratio? Suregrip ? I'm looking for a rear that will bolt in.

For now the wagon is a cruise night car, but may eventually take it one/twice a year to the track. Did I see a NY plate on your 64? My wife / in-laws are from upstate NY, Albany area.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Regards,
Ted ( 64plybelvwgn )

Thanks Ted,you got a sweet looking wagon there, don't know if I'm going to be much help but the motor is a 1968 440 hp,not sure on the tranny,it has an 8.75 rear that has been narrowed (mini tubbed) sure grip with 4.56-4.88? not sure best thing to do is start a thread about it there are a lot of knowledgeable people on here. No sorry thats a pa plate Carlisle area.

Ted I'm sorry cant be much help there ether,if I did know I would tell you to steer clear of it. It's a fiberglass hood and someone did some bad body work around the scoop. It is a aftermarket scoop that looks good from 50 yards any closer and it only slightly resembles a factory one.
