does anyone have photos of the correct linkage hook up for the top frame to lift cylinders. they go up and down but the top doesn't move
any photos or info would help me a lot :headbang:
I was looking at the mechanism for my 67 Belvedere Convertible . . . and I think I might be able to offer you some help . . .
Here's one of your pictures that I tried to indicate how I think it needs to be hooked up . . .
The connection that you have to the cylinder - I think needs to move to the open hole on the back bracket.
On the cylinder is a bolt ( maybe one on both sides like my 67 has ) - it goes where you have the current connection.
Shown here on the your original picture.
The top of the cylinder is actually a pivot point to allow the top to rotate . . . the one extending out, does all the work.
Please move it slowly . . . I think there should be another bracket with the connection to the top of the cylinder ans it needs to pretty much stay stationary - it's just a pivot point.
