64 style scoop.Which one???

I this pic my 63 has the 63-64 Max Wedge scoop and my buddies 65 has the 64-65 Hemi scoop. Never heard of a 63-64 Ramcharger scoop ??? I guess they mean the Max Wedge scoop. Ron

mid 64 it changed to the hemi from the max wedge style due to the hemi taking over the ss scene and nascar.

Don't know where this one came from but the measurements are 33.5" wide in the front and 31" wide in the rear. Length on the sides is about 36" (35" in the center).

Hey Stumper, how about showing me the bottom of that hood?? I need to buy a hood and put a scoop on it. I dont really want a fibreglass lift off one but I may have to settle for one. I dont understand why they dont hinge the fibreglass hoods??? Put some steel renforcment into it and bingo!

They make 'em. Some outfit in Florida (can't remember the name) offers them both ways. They call the lift-off type the 'race-weight' hoods.

I suppose if you could find some lightweight hood hinge springs you could mount the light one on factory hinges. May have to glass in some steel for attachment points.

i couldnt find a good spring for mine. either too heavy or too light, so i made some hinge pins to keep the hood up. some flat stock, and round stock.... real clean looking too !
