65 Belvedere II Outside Mirror

When I purchased my car a while back, the driver's side mirror was not attached, although one was in my box of parts. The holes in my door are 4" apart, but the mirror holes are 2-3/8" apart. The mirror is a twin post and looks similar to the one in the Classic Industries catalog. What's wrong here?

you might need a remote mirror-totally different base on it

My 65 Belvedere 2 dr ,has the solid post ,not the twin post,maybe im wrong but didnt the earlier models have twin post.My left mirror is remote ,but the right side isnt,and has far as i know its factory

You might have something there - my car has the remote driver side but a twin post passenger side and everyone tells me it is wrong

My '64 has a twin post mirror on the driver's door. I purchased another driver's side mirror for the passenger's side and luckily both mirrors are identical and fit perfectly. '65 mirrors do appear to be different and single post.

my 65 satellite is the same single post on the left which is remote and a twin post non remote on the right both have 2&3/8" spacing and both are for sale the chrome is decent I am going with different mirrors other 65 satellite available. I am putting a 3 deuce set up on my 318 and later a stroker. the 3 deuce set up going on just to drive around with

my friends 65 has two post on both sides they are non remote
