Pulled the tank. I was surprised how clean it was. Going to replace the sending unit and gaskets.

Don't use gasket that is provided with sending unit...it WILL leak...I know because mine did. I got some nitrile rubber and cut my own...NO leaks...

Picked up a 12" x 12" piece on ebay for $5...

In a thread it was mentioned the locking rings you get with some new sending units are to thin. Check that out if it's thinner than your original think about using your old one.

The new one is substantially thinner as well. Clean up the old one and reuse it!!!
