Late last fall I picked up nice 65 coronet 500. Its got a 68 440 and 727 trans. I was going to add a radiator shroud and discovered that it has a 1965 383 C body radiator. Is there a shroud that might fit this combo? Any input is welcome.

If it is a 22" radiator you can use an original metal shroud.

If you have the original radiator it should be a 22". The shroud is a 2 piece metal part. Originals are getting pretty hard to track down and the four mounting brackets and special hardware even tougher.
The shrouds are being reproduced at around $250.00 and brackets at around $75.00.

I did check and it is a 22" radiator but I don't see any provisions to mount a shroud. The fan side of the radiator brackets have no holes to mount anything to. I'm wondering if the "C" body this came out of had a shroud to begin with?

unless I am mistaken the early b-body 22" and the c body 22" fan shrouds are different.

Your correct Matt. The parts book shows both to be 2 piece, (upper and lower), but with different part numbers. Not sure if they will interchange, it could be just the hose clearence.
The way they mount is via four brackets mounted at the side rail of the rad with special insert nuts and bolts

Heres a couple pictures......

I would sure like to know if they would interchange from a c-body to a b-body. I would like to install one on my 65 coronet wagon. I can find some from a c-body, but since the parts book show a difference I have not bought one. I do see that most of the time the 2 piece c-body shrouds are about half price of the correct b-body shroud. That is another reason I would like to know for sure if they would work. Great picture BTW to help explain the mount.

Yes, thanks for the photos. I'm working with MoparSteve on a shroud he has, but mine is from a 65 C body Big Block and my side brackets only have two rectangular holes about midway up the core spaced maybe 4" apart. There are no captive nuts in them. Steve is checking to see if his shroud might work but the photo however looks like the mounting brackets are spaced apart a fair amount more than 4" or so? TK

Here are a couple of pictures of a 65 C-body shroud and mount that are posted over on the C-body only site......
