I am attaching a picture of my hood latch. I know that there are some springs missing but do not know what and where they suppose to be or where to get the original springs..
When looking at this picture the lever on the right side in the view just flops over and has no spring on it.. I think this is what I am needing to find out where a spring would hook to and if anyone has one.
hi i have a 65 sat that i have yet to start every thing is intact but within a month it' s goin to be redone. i will look tomorrow ,and get back to you. if ya don't hear from me contact me thru the fourm dave
There are usually a few of these latches on eBay--also, the trunk latch is virtually the same latch--I'm using the trunk latch in place of the hood latch on my Satellite.
The spring that shows up in your first two photos is attached to the latch you are asking about and moves it up and down to capture the hood latch rod. If it just flaps up and down, either the spring is shot/disconnected or the inner mechanism isn't working because it should 'snap' open and closed when manually moved. The attached photos show different angles of the mechanism but no additional springs from what you have shown. Hope this helps.
