I think he mentioned he paid extra to have rhe scoop cut to axcept fresh air...not positive but pretty sure he had that done.

I had to cut out the hood scoop on my current car to enable fresh air.

I had them made a while ago. Original type reflective material. I sold several sets on here.

Over all the spring is the same length. It doesn't really matter much that the 'spring' part is an inch shorter since it's made from smaller diameter wire.
