66-67 numbers to check?

Going to look at a 67 Satellite and 67 Coronet R/T tomorrow. Not real sure on the pre-69 option tags and where to check for numbers. The Satellite is painted a red color and tag shows QQ1? I don't see a vin sequence on the fender tag? Is there a way to verify if the tag belongs to that car?

QQ1 in 66-67 is a dark red or maroon. But yes, red. PP1 was the bright red.
