My understanding is that there wasn't front or rear sway bars as standard equipment on a 66 Coronet 500, but the 67 Coronet RT had them. If anyone has a complete set of RT sways, please let me know.

No such rear bars, stock at least. I do have a front sway bar.

rear sway bars weren't stock until like 71 or 72?

I have a genuine '66 front sway bar setup if you are interested. They are a one year only deal. All of my 66's had them including both the Coronets and Chargers. Also all 383-4 cars fwiw.

My 66 383 Charger had a front sway bar but it did not connect to the lower control arms. It connected to the strut rods via a clamp that held them together.

I was going to mention the need for lower LCAs on pre-71 cars for a factory appearance.

There are new designs available that use the lower shock mount.

MUCH easier install.

Wow. Does this answer a lot of questions. I bought this Coronet 4 years ago in pieces and buckets. There's a sway bar that looks like this, that everyone told me "does not belong to this car". Not sure if I have all the parts, but I am interested in keeping it original. Want to shoot me a price for it?

Does anyone else want to offer an opinion?

Sorry, I don't have one fs. Just trying to help you in your search for the correct parts.

Many thanks,

I can see clearly how the sway attaches to the stabilizer, but can't quite see the part that is attaching to the "K" member. Could you get another shot please?

It’s not a “one year only” set up. I have the same sway bar on my 65 streetwedge Belvedere.

The 62-65 bar is similar as the 66 model except for the bend in the center for the rad support brace. The 66 bar was phased out in the late 66 model year, to the 67 to 69 version.

I found all the pieces, that is...all the "steel" pieces. Not sure if anyone else has followed this thread, but droptop has shown me what this is suppose to look like, however I'm missing what appears to be a set of four rubber/plastic bushings that can be seen in the pics he's sent.

Anyone have a set to sell or know where to get a new set??

Good call, but doesn't look like they carry an OEM compatible set either. Ebay seems to have quite a selection, but with no specifics. Not trying to "cheap out", just don't want to an incomplete Ebay collection of un-identifiable bushings and end up with an aftermarket to install
