The '66 Charger I recently bought was having issues with the charging system. Determined the voltage regulator was bad and replaced it. But then found the circuit was overloading, wires getting hot. After closer inspection, found that someone has cut the fusible link out. Didn't replace it with anything, just took it out. So I have no original to look at. Can anyone provide me with the specs of what I need to replace it?

Fusible links are 2 wire sizes smaller than the wire it's protecting.
For a 10ga wire system you would use a 14ga fusible link. 8ga wire would use a 12ga fusible link.
Hope that helps.

That is helpful, thanks! Also looking for any input as to possible other issues. Could there be something else causing an overload on this circuit? Where should I be checking? All ground connections have been checked and cleaned, haven't spotted any issues there.
