Thought I would share pictures of my new Mopar toy. Today I rescued this 66 Coronet 440 vert today from a shop/barn in my home town. A very nice older gentleman has it stashed away and I had heard he was thinking of selling it a while back. Fast forward to today and its all mine!
This car has never left Tulsa, OK area and still has dealer tags on trunk. It has not been out of his shop since 2009.
It has a little carb trouble but shouldnt be hard to get running. All original everything. Numbers match and even has AC!
Let the journey begin!

I'm diggin' the '67 sim mag covers on that...and of course, Daffodil Yellow. My favorite on the '66 and '67 cars.

Just a hint, you should NEVER trailer a convertible backwards - it is a very easy and quick way to destroy a top!

Thanks guys! I am amazed at just how pure and original this car is. It came with tons of history and documentation/photos of its life in Tulsa. Still has little card on radiator support too!
Believe it or not it has been setting in a shop building in a guys back yard just a few miles from my house. I loaded it backward for easy of dragging it out of shop right onto my trailer. Used my wife's Jeep with winch on front to pull it out and right up on the trailer. LOL
Never got over about 35 on my drive home to my house. Top will need replaced at some point anyways...showing a llittle wear and tear compared to rest of car. Still has the black convertible boot top attached and it looks great.

Some guys have all the luck.

I don't think it gets much better then that being that close to home and all. Best of luck with it

Ron

Update...I spent most the day working on it doing little stuff and some cleaning. I checked all the fluids and I flushed fuel system, changed fuel pump and filter and changed carb out for a different one. 318 Poly fired right up and it purrs like a kitten. I put the top down and took it for a cruise. What a pleasure to drive...it just floats down the road nice and straight and smooth!
