I am in the process of doing some touch-up work on some interior pieces. I ordered a can of Herbs Interior Paint. I am very impressed with the color accuracy; not so much with the coverage. The rear trim panels in the pictures has 6 coats. I assume that since the paint is designed to penetrate into plastic/vinyl/carpet, it will not cover base color abnormalities or scratches.
The main thing I will be painting/color-matching closer to spring is a door shell that is now black; want to paint it red to match the rest of the interior. Again, since this paint is so transparent, I doubt that it will cover the black paint to match.
Has anyone used a metal primer, prior to applying Herbs Interior Paint? Considering a "red metal primer" in this case.
